iPhone operated helicopter

Parrot usually makes Bluetooth products. Well they’ve just come out with something of rather more interest in the last couple of days, the Parrot AR.Drone. It’s a remote controlled helicopter. Not so interesting you might think. But this is ‘remote’ with a difference, an iPhone or iPod Touch connected by Wi-Fi and using the accelerometer and touchscreen for the controls. The view from the cameras on the helicopter is displayed on the screen. The cameras aren’t the greatest, and I hope that aspect will be improved, but the usefulness of this is open to all types of possibilities.

On top of all this, there’s also a little thing of augmented reality games.
